Quiet please

posted Monday, 6 December 2004
Last week one of the trolleys tried to maim me today one of them tried to deafen me. At least today's attempt wasn't painful and didn't leave me bruised! One of the shelves was obviously a little loose which happens with a lot of them. It was fine when I was pushing it while it was full, empty was another matter. It felt like I was walking behind someone crashing a pair of cymbals. I got more than one strange look from among the students at the desks. A library is a quiet place? Well, up to a point!

I was very good during my break today. There were biscuits and homemade chocolate cake on offer and I turned them all down. The chocolate cake was very tempting too. Unfortunately my good intentions went for nothing when I was on my way home. I was walking through Marks and just happened to pass a shelf of chocolate yule logs. At least with my resistance earlier it makes it only one portion of chocolate for the day!

That looks yummy! I need something to jumpstart my spirit the year and that looks like just the sugar buzz to do it.

I have about 8 pounds of baking chocolate here that I need to start using to make Christmas treats. Just remember--chocolate is GOOD for you! ;^)
