More rain more food

Yesterday we decided we would go down to the Quayside.  We would have a bite to eat and take a nice walk.  If the weather proved good enough that is.  And the sun was shining when we left.  We paid a quick visit to The Baltic first hoping to find something to our taste to look at but we were disappointed as usual!  Then it was lunch at a lovely pub down there, portobello mushroom burger - basically mushroom and melted cheese with onion rings - in a burger bun for me and Mum, sausuage and mash for Dad.  I treated myself to a strawberry trifle for pudding.  The plan was to have a nice lunch and walk it off along the river and while we were in the pub the sun shone.  When we left however...within a minute the rain came down then the thunder started and the lightening came.  So no walk but at least the food was very nice!

Today has been a lazy day, catching up on little jobs.  And for later we have a film to watch that we recorded, The Lavender Hill Mob a great favourite with us.
