Favourite Films

posted Saturday, 2 August 2003
1 Spellbound
Hitchcock. What more do you need to say.

2 North by Northwest
See above.

3 Rebecca
See above.

4 Just about any other Hitchcock film.
Again see above.

5 Goldfinger
Terrific fun.

6 Forbidden Planet
Intelligent science-fiction. A rarity and not in the least pretentious
as so many sci-fi films unfortunately are.

7 Some Like It Hot
Hilarious.

8 Jaws
Wonderful sense of menace.

9 Minority Report
The first film about the near future that feels like it could really be like
that.

10 The Producers
Wonderfully funny.

Of course all are subject to change and to movement up and down the list.

Loved Life of Brian, not so keen on the Meaning of Life.

Yeah the Meaning of Life isn't as good, Life of Brian is my favourite, The Holy Grail is brillant too.

That's a good film, Debby but personally I prefer the earlier ones.
