Christmas tree

posted Tuesday, 11 December 2007

I actually managed to get home at a reasonable time today, only calling in for a couple of important things including balloons for when we decorate.  So I was home in plenty of time for our Christmas tree arriving.  And it certainly is a very nice one this year.  We always try to get it a day early so it has plenty of time to settle in and spread out.  It was the usual tough job to get it ready to go into the pot.  But already it's filling the room with the most lovely smell.  And after that this evening the smaller and easier job of putting the marzipan on the cake.  Now they are the nice jobs to do!

Oh, that is a lovely tree. Can't wait to see it decorated!

The tree is lovely!! I miss having the "real" Christmas trees but I am allergic to them. That smell certainly does mean Christmas!

Good luck with the cake; putting marzipan on a cake sounds like a big job to me!

Wow what a pretty tree! Will look even better once you get all your treasures on it.

All done now and we're very pleased with it, Sheila and Mary Lou!

Thanks, Karen. The marzipan is easy compared to icing the cake!
